I tried on a Bell Faction helmet for BMX and it was so BIG, it looked word, are there thinner BMX helmets?
IT just looks weird. Are there any bmx helmets that look cool?
The first question you really want to ask yourself – “Is cool better than the best protection for your head?” I know, you don’t plan to ever need it – you are a safe rider… BUT, just in case… after all, if nobody crashed (and nobody really plans to) than we wouldn’t need helmets at all. Too many people owe their lives to good helmets for me to ever go without a good one – I have ridden motorcycles on and off for 48 years, and haven’t needed one for the last 47 – but I still won’t ride without the best one I can get for my head. I never know when someone else is going to pull in front of me and cause me to crash.
It is your head and your choice… (Bell has had a good reputation as long as I have been riding, but there are a number of other good manufacturers out there.)
Good luck, and ride safe…

How do Sixsixone helmets compare to Shoei and Bell?
I’m looking at buying a new helmet but don’t really want to go over the $400 mark, so the Shoei is in the range if I can find a good deal somwhere. I’m just wondering how the Sixsixone helmets match up to the higher end bell and Shoei helmets because they are so much cheaper.
I would never wear a 661 or a Bell.
Arai / Shoei / AGV …….. and thats about it.
Do you think Bell Motorcycle helmets are good?
I ride a 600cc sport bike. I don’t take it to track anymore and I only use it to commute.
I’ve been told Shoei and Arai helmets were the best but I just recently got a Bell helmet and a mechanic told me that Bell is okay. What did he mean by that?
Would you consider wearing a Bell helmet? Also, any helmets I should avoid. I hear KBC discontinued because it was horrible.
The Bell helmets are very good, the company has been selling them for many many years and still going strong, personally I prefer Nolan probabally the best flip up type you can buy.
Where can I purchase Bell motorcycle helmets in the Denver area? Specifically looking for the Bell Shorty…?
there’s a remote possibility you can find one at Walmart. I know I have seen “Bell” helmets, mainly dirt bike, in our area Walmart stores in Texas. I just don’t recall any street bike or half helmets???
also might try Cycle Gear if there is one in the Denver area … http://www.cyclegear.com/spgm.cfm?L1=&L2=&L3=&L4=&item=BEL_120876_G&tier2=3 if this is what you are looking for???? or order online…
what is the difference between these bell helmets that i found at wal-mart?
ok i want to buy a helmet and i found these helmets and they are bell helmets but one is $50.00 and the other is $22.00 and the only difference that i see is that one has 11 holes and the other has 22 holes and i want to know if one is safer or they are both the same same because if there really is not a difference or it is a small difference i will just buy the $22.00 one
They will both protect your brains from splashing onto the pavement, but the holes are how your sweaty head cools. Air flow is what you’re paying for and it depends on how far and how much you’re riding.
